The synopsis made it seem as if I should know who Erin French is. I don't. I don't know who she is or anything about her. And clearly, this book builds upon some previous memoir. Regardless, I'm not a huge fan of memoirs and this one is no exception. The excerpt is mainly her complaining about working for her dad as a child. Okay great. Why does that make you special? It doesn't. In the end, I'm just not the audience for this book. I like the dark cover contrasted with the bright colored flowers but it doesn't scream memoir to me and I'm not clear on why she is hidden behind the flowers.
