This memoir has a lot going on: a dysfunctional family, beginning setting in a greasy spoon diner, teenage pregnancy, exploration of existence of God, and a reckoning of what it means to be an adult. I love these kinds of memoirs; where people peel back the bandage of their memories, and really consider what life was like not just the pretty memories.
