A diner, a small town, an abandoned mill, and a Maine setting. I can’t wait to read more, even if the first look does hint at the darker side of Maine, with the protagonist’s father drowning his feelings in beer or gin & tonics. I’m not familiar with this author or her real-life restaurant and definitely want to learn more.
