I almost passed this First Look over, but circled back for another look, and I am glad I did. This preview is only 17 pages long, and I am already longing to know more about Erin’s childhood.
In the beginning, we see Erin, working in her dad’s diner, anticipating a quick break after lunch service, and it seems like a feel good story. We quickly find out that Erin is 21, unmarried, 9 months pregnant, and manning the diner while her dad is elsewhere. From there, we get a glimpse of what appears to be a less-than-rosy childhood.
I. Want. To. Know. More. Where does Erin’s life pickup? What leads her to where she is now? I need to read the rest of the book....
