I was born and raised in Maine and I had never, prior to reading this, heard about Freedom or The Lost Kitchen! What a wonderful surprise! I will admit before reading the excerpt, I had little interest in the subject but as I read I became more and more interested. I don't know a ton about the restaurant industry but this is an engaging memoir of one woman's journey to carve out her place in the world!
