Did not enjoy :(
Do you ever have one of those books where you read the description and are instantly excited at the creativity of the plot, and you just know you need to read it? That's exactly what happened with me when I came across Fairy Godmothers Inc on Netgalley. The plot seemed so interesting, and it reminded me a little bit of the TV show Once Upon a Time.
Unfortunately, liking the plot summary was the primary thing I liked about the book, besides the cute cover. The writing was very juvenile, to the point where I thought this may be Saranna DeWylde's debut book... but it wasn't. There were some sweet and funny moments, but as a whole it was not what I was expecting. The emphasis on the inclusion of "The Boy Who Missed" annoyed me.
The book had a lot of potential, but the juvenile humor really tanked my enjoyment. Honestly I probably would have DNFd it, if I weren't for it being set in Missouri (I'm doing a 50 States + DC Reading Challenge this year).
