This book was just so much fun! (Bonus: I adored the little bottle of magic dust that came with my copy!) Ransom and Lucky are one of my new favorite couples, and the fairy godmothers, Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet, reminded me of the fairy godmothers in Disney's Sleeping Beauty, which was one of my very favorite movies as a kid. Maybe that contributed to my absolute enjoyment of this story, but it worked! Meddling aunties, awkward heroines, and hunky heroes are just candy and popcorn to me!

Lucky has the most ironic name of anyone, because it seems that if it wasn't for bad luck, she'd have no luck at all. I can so relate to that, and it made me have so much sympathy for her when she found out that she'd be joining forces with the root and source of her great humiliation with the "Embarrassing Incident" to help promote "Ever After", their small town in Missouri. Luckily, second chance and "fake" romances always work out and she and Ransom get their own "happy ever after". There isn't a great amount of steamy description other than the details of the "embarrassing incident", but it is a sweet romance.

DeWynne did a marvelous job of setting up this stage without it seeming like it is just a set-up, and I am eagerly awaiting the second book in the series.
