Fairy Godmothers Inc is about Lucky and Ransom, who are star crossed lovers who share fairy godmothers. Lucky is the opposite of her name--with just a hug, she can give somebody bad luck...which is generally also her own luck.
The fairy godmothers are almost broke--of both magic and money. They decide to host a fake wedding in their town called Ever After with Lucky and Ransom...and in the meantime, hoping that they would get back together.
The fairy godmothers themselves were immensely enduring and funny. They are not your typical fairy godmothers--they have feelings, swear words and are at times, petty. They show how much they care about their godchildren and how their actions are really based on their caring.
Lucky was also quite enduring. I fell in love with her character--bad luck and all. The romance between her and Ransom felt real. The one thing that I would have liked to see more was the back story to their romance and how they really met. We did get to read about Lucky's back story, but unfortunately, Ransom's back story was quite short.
I'm hoping that in the later books that they develop or talk about Ransom a little bit more...at least develop his back story. There will be a second installment of the Fairy Godmothers Inc books and I will definitely be picking that one up! Overall, I think this was a cute and funny, carefree read, and I recommend it.
