Upon reading the first look, I loved how every word brought me back to the rom-com/feel good movies of the 90s that would start with narrated backstory and that easily goes into the introduction of the main character. I was getting a lot of Practical Magic, Ever After, and Cinderella Story vibes. I absolutely love the personalities of each Fairy Godmother and that they are the ones to start the book, setting tone and mood. I found this to be absolutely delightful and I can't wait to read the rest of the book!
