For me this isn’t my type of book. I don’t like storied with magic, so not the book for me but for people who like that type of stuff it sounds like an interesting book. The characters are funny and have a good relationship between each other. The author writes in a way that is easy to understand without being overly simple.
As for the cover, it matches a lot of the now popular designs for contemporary. Simple with bright colors and some shapes. For me I don’t really like the cover. I prefer less of the animated clip art style and more of the realistic dark dramatic yet simple covers.
