Adorable! While I usually prefer a book that lays out all the basic details of the characters right up front, this book holds back a little and I couldn't tell if this was a middle school, YA or adult book, but mostly that was because of its charm. Until the main character Lucky started cussing quite a bit. Adult book. Got it.

This is an unusual premise of a low-fantasy romance with well-meaning meddling, but with seemingly no evil-doing or mean-spiritedness. That doesn't mean it is all fluff and rainbows. The characters are modern-day; flawed and real. Nevertheless, we are living in times when this kind of book fits what we need; an escape into a light-hearted and enjoyable story with a sort-of realistic, but not-really, setting and plenty of ordinary characters with ordinary lives who happened to be involved with the extraordinary and well-intentioned (fairy) godmothers.
