I’ve been reading this book on and off for several months now. It not a bad book, I just think you have to be in a certain mindset to enjoy it. I appreciate the author’s candid and honest assessment and admire his frank honesty.

The story Bob tells about his neighbor, whom the family adopted was very touching. I loved how he laments with us about how difficult it is to love difficult people and then shares how he tries to do just that - love people who are difficult or unlovable.

Looking at the divisions in the US today, I feel if people read this book, it might solve quite a few issues we encounter. I know part of the reason it is taking me so long to complete this book is because each chapter challenges me to go deeper. You can’t just breeze through this book, if you really want to take the lesson of “loving everyone always” to heart.
