Everybody Always is a light-hearted bible study that "talks" to the audience rather than "preaches" at them. I really enjoyed how Bob talks about his experiences and how God revealed specific messages to him; mainly, "Love Everybody."

What I really enjoyed more, is that Bob seems to struggle with that almost as much as I do. He is real with his flaws and does not shy away from sharing them. It's a relief really. Sometimes I read these books and think that I am the only one who can be narcissistic and selfish and fall far from what God wants from me. Bob falls just as far, but has learned lessons and shares them in a way that many can relate.

I do wish that he would tell me which bible verse he is referring to at times, though. Bob does put it in plain language, which I love, but I wish there was a footnote so I knew exactly which verse or parable he is referring (I cannot stress this point enough!). I also wish he had some reflection questions in the margins of the book when a salient point is made.

Bottom line: I could easily see myself in the situations Bob was in and reacting the same way. Which made God's message that much easier to understand.

Book Cover
I love this cover! It captures my eye and I keep wanting to go back to the book because of how cheerful it is. Plus that fact that the dots are actually fingerprints brings home the point in a powerful, yet understated way. And that falls in line with the message. Love is a cheerful and powerful emotion and one that should be shared with everyone. So even when I forget what was inside the book, the cover reminds me of the simple, yet powerful message, to Love Everyone Always.
