“Everybody, Always” has come highly recommended by many friends, but I have told myself that I didn’t have the time to read. In the last couple of months, however, God has continuously placed the same message on my heart— that if I want to grow closer with Him, I have to learn how to spread out my love for the people in my life. With this in mind, I decided that it was the right time to read Bob Goff’s book. “Everybody, Always” feels like an intimate and personal conversation between someone that I have known for a long time— Goff does not “talk down” to the reader, telling them how they should live, promising that if they do as he says, they will lead a more fulfilling life. Rather, he candidly shares his own journey, including the highs and lows, of learning to love others in the way that Jesus loves us. The book is equally funny and touching, and was just the push that I needed to put God’s mission for me to love others fiercely into action.
