I thought this was a nice book with nice ideas on how to stay positive and loving, with empathy and compassion for your neighbors, but I feel that the book doesn't have a diverse opinion on a diverse world, and so it makes it a little unrealistic. I think Bob makes a lot of strong and valid points and claims, simply that love is easy to give, but in the wrong city, of the wrong state, this isn't always true. So much crime and poverty exist and this ignites divide and indifference. We are products of our own environments. When one is raised in a chaotic world and learns how to cope with their world, that is how one will raise the next generation.
I think its easy for Bob to have such an outside perspective because he is just that, on the outside, looking in or down in some cases. When you are a white male, living in a while male dominated world, it's easy to see things on a more positive note.
