I read a first impression of this book on here and fell in love with the little I was able to read. I loved it so much I immediately went to another site to see if it was available to request and thankfully it was! I even more excited when I won this on bookish first because I love having hard copies and will enjoy reading this again at some point. I loved every single page of this book. I was actually sad when it was over. This is one of the best mystery/suspense novels I’ve read. A family torn apart when the eldest son is sent to prison for murder. His younger brother goes off to college and tries to remain anonymous. His last words with his father were harsh. After a night out partying, he finds out his entire family has tragically died in Mexico. Now, his only remaining family is his brother that’s in prison. While you know from the beginning what happened, it’s still full of suspense yet it’s also heartbreakingly beautiful.
