Every Last Fear was one of my most anticipated reads of 2021, and I was so excited to be able to get my hands on it ahead of publication.
I truly could not put this one down, it is the exact type of plot that I absolutely adore. The pace of the story partnered with the changing narrators and timelines and I was hooked. But, and it pains me to ask this, I can't be the only one who predicted the entire thing about halfway through? I was desperately hoping I'd be wrong when the big twist came, but no such luck. I was ultimately pretty disappointed by that.
Nevertheless, it's absolutely a book I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the mystery and thriller genre, as Alex Finlay really did write a great story. It's possible I've read too many thrillers in a row and that is the only reason I was able to guess the twist.
I am excited to read more of Alex Finlay's work in the future--I think he's just getting started!
