This book hooked me from the very first line and it kept me entranced the whole way through. I felt for poor Matt Pine who not only has an estranged brother in prison, the documentary of which basically forced his entire family out of their home town, but now he comes home from a night out to more devastating news. The entire rest of his family died on their vacation in Mexico.

The FBI are trying to find out if foul play was involved, but the Mexican authorities aren't helping. And then new clues start to surface about his brother's case. The one in which he saw something but has never told anyone about. Were his families deaths and accident? Or are they linked to that awful night many years ago?

Interspersed with flashbacks from his family members before the deadly vacation, the story never lets go until the very end. A family torn apart by a murder case they can't stop fighting to help their son and brother with, and a secret from that night that noone saw coming. This book was so good and I can't wait for more from this author.
