This book had me hooked from the first moment. I am a complete sucker for stories told through multiple perspectives and multiple points in time, and this book had it all. Not to mention a cast of characters that I thought was excellent and fun, albeit not the most relatable for me. The prose was excellent and extremely compelling, and I was always on edge wanting to see what happened next.

The only thing that was a bit of a letdown was the ending. Without giving too much away, I felt a little cheated almost. I liked it, but it somehow simultaneously felt predictable, and out of nowhere at the same time. Even if I went and reread the book, I dont think there were many clues about the reveal. Not all books need this, and that is more of a mystery thing than a thriller thing, but this book had enough mystery that a part of me expected some hints throughout.

That being said, overall I loved this book. Matt was an excellent primary character, and I loved Agent Keller even more than I loved Matt. Following the story was riveting, and each chapter ended on a cliffhanger of sorts. The fact that nearly each chapter changed POV also meant I had to read on multiple chapters to see where the last character I was focused on had ended.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who's interested in a psychological thriller or a family based thriller book. A great debut novel overall!
