The author writes setting and characters well without being to wordy, which I appreciate. The pace moved along well while feeling realistic, not overly dramatic. I have to be in the right kind of mood for contemporary thriller/mysteries and tend to prefer them in audiobook form, but if I had this on audiobook I think I'd finish it. Cover is fine; not stellar but fits with the story.
