What a great excerpt. Eight chapters with not one dull moment. The pacing is sustained throughout with alternation puzzle pieces from different points of view, past and present and script intertwined. The author pack a lot in these first chapters, but I never felt lost in the action. Excellent start and I imagine this would also make a great audiobook!
