Well firstly, the cover was a bit striking, reminding of the true crime corkboards that never seem to lead anywhere. I've heard of Alex Finlay before, but never read any of their works because I wasn't fond of thrillers. This one, however, I might just have to pick up. The prologue hooked me write away. The writing is simple but engaging. I liked it and will probably read more.
