Intrigued to find out what happened
I like that Matt Pine comes across as compassionate stopping to play chess with a homeless man, and offering to sneak him breakfast. Matt has a good heart, despite having been made infamous by his older brother’s conviction. Only for Matt to be put in the spotlight again, with news of his family.
I like how the story is told from alternating views, it gives the reader a chance to get to know the characters better and little by little the puzzle pieces connecting past and present. I love the buildup.
I’m intrigued to learn about the past involving Danny, who called Evan, what really happened to the Pine family, and how Matt will find the truth.
