Danny is in prison for killing his girlfriend. Matt is in college getting drunk, playing chess, and trying to forget about the true-crime documentary that made his last name a household word. The rest of the family are killed while on vacation in Mexico. And that is in the first 20 or so pages. The reader is set up for an emotional, entangling ride when they go beyond what the public normally sees while riveted to their tv. I can’t wait to read more!
