The concept was interesting and intriguing but the execution was just not there. I did not really enjoy the writing style and forced myself to keep picking it up every time I was going to read it. Eventually after publication, I was able to get an audiobook version from my local library which made the experience a bit better. Still, it wasn't a good book and the concept was just not well thought out in my opinion and was just missing something. As a person who likes Shakespeare, I thought it would be good but in the end it ended up being convoluted and confusing which resulted in me being lost for 95% of the book. I did finish the book though so I guess it was good that I pushed through and made it to the end of the book. I do like the feminist aspects of this book and the idea of reclaiming your perspective and story whilst still being true to the original story.
