Interesting retelling
Enter The Body is an interesting retelling of Shakespeare's works focusing on the women who were given tragic endings and offering a chance to change their stories. A very prominent message of female empowerment and speaking up for oneself is told all throughout. I enjoyed the POVs of the main characters, Juliet, Cordelia, and Ophelia, in that each perspective was different, and the conversations between the girls offered a nice escape from the poem format that is the majority of the book. However, I would have liked to see Lavinia more in the story, it would have elevated the book even more and offered a more diverse viewpoint. I am not the biggest fan of poems or Shakespeare but I enjoyed the author's new take on this genre. Overall, this was a fun, easy to get through read that is not typically something I would take on, would rate 3/5 stars.
