I’m not a fan of Shakespeare, but I appreciate the impact on literature, culture and society. This beautiful and lyrical retelling of the plays from the female perspective is powerful and relevant. I’m actually excited to read more and looking forward to sharing it with my Gen Z daughter and friends who are studying theater/acting/literature. The book cover is eye-catching in how it is peeling back the page to reveal what is underneath.
