The book Enter the Body has female characters from Shakespeare plays tell their own violent and horrific stories from their point of view, incorporating a unique style of stage directions along with modern language Shakespearian-esque verse. I liked the idea, but some of the stage directions were vague and wordy, especially if not familiar with all of his plays (I've read many of the most popular ones). The First Look verse portion didn't seem to add to the story any new information about Romeo or Juliet, but just a retelling of what readers already know--maybe the new information comes later in the book. It's interesting to have a book of female characters telling their stories since the originals were written by a man, with men originally playing the roles.
