No matter how many times I have tried to enjoy Shakespeare I just can't connect, there is something about his flowery prose that gives me a mental block. This reinterpretation is much easier to reconcile, plus it's a more authentic story, the quiet ins and outs of the feminine experience in Shakespeare's writing. Written in verse we are getting the perspective of women who were used and abused as literary devices, to add tragedy and innocence to his works. It's their time to speak, to shine, to use their voices, in verse.
