I've read McCullough's previous novel about the famous painter Artemisia Gentileschi and found it to be heartbreakingly beautiful so I knew I had to read her take on Shakespeare's female characters who always suspiciously end up dead before the play ends. Enter the Body is told using different forms (set up as a play with stage directions, through poems, etc).
