This is incredibly creative. It combines prose, poetry, and elements from plays too, like stage directions. It's mostly poetry though, about four of Shakespeare's tragic, brutalized female characters. The way they share their stories through poetry as if they're in group therapy, both to reclaim their narratives and heal from their trauma, is amazing. I loved what I read from Juliet's perspective, both the more straightforward free verse poems, as well as the more abstract ones like "Capulet."

I'm not sure if I like the cover; it makes the book look more like a nonfiction title. Though you can definitely recognize that it's a book about Shakespeare right away.
