Only a few people ever have the opportunity to be astronauts. Narrowing this down even more, very few astronauts have spent extended time away from earth. Scott Kelly's account of life in the ISS is so unique but enjoyable. From the prologue I was hooked. This book starts off with his childhood and what seems like the uphill battle for him that he would become such a successful astronaut. I was fascinated by the scientific aspect of this as well as the reality that at times negativity took over. This book helped me stop and think about the little things in life we appreciate and in his case he missed. The humor throughout helped to soften the tough aspects of space travel and how it affected his family and friends on Earth. I will be buying this book for a few family members for the holidays this year. A great biography!
