Endurance tells the story of American astronaut Scott Kelly's year spent on the International Space Station. This book is fascinating for anyone who has an interest in outer space or space travel. It has a good mix of Kelly's personal narrative of how he became an astronaut and the human experience of going through multiple space launches and being away from his family for a year. It also includes plenty of science and behind the scenes of what it is like to be an astronaut, the high stakes aspect of living on the ISS, as well as the interesting interactions between multiple nation states.

What I didn't enjoy about this book was, unfortunately, Scott Kelly. Learning more about his personal life was painful. I cringed through the sections on his first wife, their divorce, and the impact on his kids. This was all extremely uncomfortable to read. There were also parts where he dissed other astronauts that felt unnecessary. By the end of the book, I found Kelly quite unlikable.
