I've admired Scott Kelly (and his brother Mark) for some time now. What they've dedicated their lives to doing is remarkable and, more, fascinating. I was very excited when this book came out and so jumped at the chance to read an excerpt, even if the excerpt was disappointingly short. What was obvious, though, from the first 10 pages of the book is that Scott Kelly is a great writer (he does have help in this area from Margaret Lazarus Dean). From Kelly's description of himself, we are people of opposite personalities. I love reading about people whose minds work in ways completely different from mine, so this is an added bonus. Add in that this is a book about an astronaut (I love books about space!) who did something no one else had done at the time for reasons that are pretty interesting and I'm hooked. I'll be picking this one up.
