I had hoped to win this book for my husband because he is an astronaut at heart! He wants to be the first to have the chance to live on Mars. That said, this book with first hand accounts from an astronaut with beautiful glossy finished, high definition pictures truly transported my husband to space. I had the pleasure of sitting with him as he read me different passages, talked the pictures and what was happening in each one and the light in my husband's eyes shown brightly.
There was a lot of description and explanation that was placed in common terms for us with out engineering or aeronautical doctoral degrees and we were able to really connect with the author. I think the pictures with descriptions are the absolute best part of the book and really helped to keep us engaged and simply, in awe of the life of an astronaut.
