My husband and I are part of the generation that grew up during the space race. Unlike many of our peers, we never lost our fascination with space. We watched every shuttle mission we could. Our favorite channel is the NASA channel. The highlight of our 30th anniversary trip to Florida was Kennedy Space Center. When we heard about Mr. Kelly's book, we were excited. My husband had the opportunity to get a copy from our library. He loved it. I have been visiting relatives and did not get to read it. I was thrilled to have Bookish offer a sample.

The except was terrific. I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to return to the gravity of Earth after all the time in space. Mr. Kelly gives us a vivid description of the side effects, the pain, circulatory issues, and contact rash from his own bed. I will be ordering this book or asking for it for Christmas. It should feed my love of all things space.
