I think we've all become so used to the idea of astronauts going to space, how very routine it is, that we've forgotten what an amazing feat it really is and how much we still have to learn. The first few pages of this book really drew me in. Reading Kelly describe how difficult it was for his body to acclimate to life back on Earth and how no one at the hospital would know how to treat him was both frightening and fascinating. These astronauts are the pioneers of our times.
