Set in Paris, 2017 Ottoman has ruled the city for over 300 years, beheadings, women having no rights, arranged marriages, all happen in the city walls. A man with strange tattoos appears one day, naked. Kamal is sent to investigate. What he finds is secrets that could get him killed. Kamal's brother Ramazan is the anesthesiologist in charge of the strange tattooed man, which makes the investigation even harder.
It took me a while to finish this book, the story line is very interesting at times, other times it was very confusing. It took alot of brain power and alot of pages to completely understand what was happening. This book reminds me alot of The Man in the High Castle. I do reccomend this book, but not to those who want something fast and light.
