Where to start? I learned a lot from this book. The author takes a stab at writing European history from a different perspective and reality. One in which spawned me to go check actual events to see how different the story was. That is, when I had time to. The book is very fast paced and it definitely has an edge of your seat quality that makes a very good book! I don't usually read this type of book and yet I could not put it down, nor did I want to. The book proceeds to remind us that unless we change what we keep doing over and over again we set ourselves up to relive those mistakes until they are learned. I'm almost speechless as I try to craft a review. It was a remarkable book. There were a few pieces that didn't quite sync up for me but overall I'd give it 4.5/5 stars if I could!
