Alternate histories can be interesting and fun - but I don't think this one is for me. The ahistorical use of a suicide bomber at the Ottoman siege of Vienna was off-putting. I feel like there are plenty of ways to alter how the siege and battle turned out without that mechanism. The blurb and the alternate modern day time line were both more interesting, but the opening premise just didn't grab me.
