Wow! This book has just about everything I like to read all in one place! It has alternate history, time travel, adventure, exotic locales, intrigue and mystery. What's not to love? I can't wait to read it. I am a big fan of historical fiction in general and the what-ifs of an alternate reality really is setting my imagination on fire.
The red lettering of the title on the cover is a real attention grabber. The people running under the Eiffel Tower suggests that it will be an action packed thrill ride and the flag hanging on the tower makes me wonder why is it there; while the fact that it is blowing to one side makes me think is there a current conflict i.e. the winds (fate) of the nation are "blowing" to an Arabic or Turkish way of thinking or nation of not? Perhaps It means that way of life (the current way) is at risk of ending? It leaves me with a lot of questions which intrigue me and make me anxious to get my hands on a copy of this book.
I have just read the excerpt and, boy, this book looks even better than I had originally thought when I saw the cover and read the description. Can't wait to read the rest, I must find out what the tattoos mean and what happens next!
