Based on the cover of this book, I assumed it would be another WWII alternate history book. It is not. This book describes what we know as a European world being run by Islamic ideologues. Given the amount of fear many Americans have of Muslims attempting to take over the world and run it "their way," I find it hard to believe that someone would write a book describing how the world would look if it had been operated by Muslims for centuries. Instead of leading to a greater understanding of what Islam teaches and Muslims believe, I can't help but wonder if this book will lead to more fear-mongering, when they read about people being beheaded for fighting back. While this book may appeal to men, and perhaps particularly Muslim men, due to the repeated instances of graphic violence, I'm certainly not in its intended audience.
