Okay. So I started reading this book and was not sure of the context. However, as I delved more into it, it dawned on me. Wow! This is a part of history I have never read before. I am hands down an avid reader!! And I would have to say, I mostly read books on WWII and the atrocities of Hitler and the many different victims that suffered at his hands. But to read this excerpt about the wars of Christendom was very interesting to read!! I would really hope to read this whole book because it truly would be a first for me personally! I would like to expand my knowledge of the wars between Catholic Christians and Muslims. The characters are very well written. I am wondering about if this book is a sort of "a dip into the future" when it comes to the weapons of choice used in the story, that truly do not come into real life until much later. I am so very intrigued!!!
