I liked the story itself but the set up wasn’t my favorite. The chapters were so long which makes it very hard to read. It makes the book feel like it’s dragging on and it’s hard to find a stopping point. I personally think that having shorter chapter keeps the book moving forward without it feeling like a chore to get to the next chapter.
But with the story itself the plot is right up my ally! Exactly the type of book that I love to read. It made you think and keep guessing. And it made me think even beyond the story itself. The story could definitely have some work done to it but some great ideas were in here.
One thing I can’t get over is the cover. I personally do not like this cover at all. It looks like a children’s book cover.
I also like having the story from the point of view of Vera. It was really interesting to learn about the world and develops the plot through her.
