I'm on the fence. The writing is so good, you're hooked in and desp wanting to know what's going on. It's a VERY slow burn though. At one point I decided we'd never know what in the hell was happening and why this group of people decided to isolate themselves. If you like M Night Shyamalans The Village you'll most definitely like this. They have the same feeling throughout. It's a dystopia cult commune that's full of secrets where the women are treated entirely different than the men. The main characters mom is gone and thus she's being raised by her odd stand offish mysterious father. There is obviously modern technology because she works at a photo studio/store but everything they have isn't modern. Almost like an Amish community. I won't spoil the ending but I know some people weren't happy with the ending, I for one liked it. So go pick this up so you can tell me if you liked the ending or not haha
