Such an interesting premise! i want to know more, why do the mothers disappear? where do they go? how are they chosen? why do the wives prick their husbands with their silver hairpins? where did the original townspeople cone from? how did the original Mr. Phillips become the supplier? why did Ruth come to the town? how did she even know it existed? when does this story take place? where does it place? so many questions!
the author does such a wonderful job drawing the reader in; her writing style invites us into Vera's life, the town in which she lives and her thoughts - it is all so very fascinating. this is a journey in which i am very happy to embark upon and i look forward to reading Elsewhere very much.
