I remember reading The Lottery in middle or high school and being completely creeped out by the story. It isn’t what it seems to be which is why it left such an impression. This too felt strange and bizarre I couldn’t put my finger on why but nonetheless this one isn’t for me. The odd cover doesn’t help with the appeal.
