Elsewhere is an M. Night Shamalan-style story of a society in which girls become mothers and eventually disappear (unexpectedly) into the clouds. The writing is as evocative and beautiful as the setting described and the reader becomes immediately attached to the main character, whose own mother disappears as the character approaches adulthood. When a stranger comes to town, it seems we're about to learn more about this "affliction" that causes the disappearance of these women and the world outside this misty haven.

Overall, the characters and setting sound haunting and beautiful, which is captured on the jacket cover. This will be a great read I'm sure!
