The story is well written with a lot of thought put into the character and setting development. So much so that I found the backstory of the young girls to be a little disturbing. While I'm not interested in reading more, I can see the target audience loving it.
I agree with many others about the cover. It's a bit to retro. I would never pick it up on a store shelf. It reminds me of when the librarian cleans out the super old books that no one has checked out in decades.
