I was able to read a FirstImpression of Alexis Schaitkin’s “Elsewhere” on BookishFirst. It begins with Vera, a daughter in an isolated community, where wives & mothers disappear & no one seems to know why. One day Ruth, a stranger, comes to town. Everyone in the community seems fascinated by her. The town never seems to have others come to it. I can’t wait to read the entire book!
